Phonics is an important tool for helping your child learn to read and write. It helps your child to understand the relationships between the letters in words, and how to break down words into their individual sounds.
By developing a strong understanding of phonics, your child will be able to read and write more fluently, which will help them to become a confident reader and writer.
Additionally, phonics helps to build your child’s literacy skills and increase their overall understanding of the English language.

Ms. Rachael's class is fun and engaging for young learners. Her class started off with singing, simple trace writing and finally a Bingo game. Both my children love her phonics class.
Ms. Rachael is an amazing educator. Her calm, caring voice will put any child at ease and her voice and musical talents are wonderful. She is organized, can keep a class of children engaged, and has wonderful content. This class is a staple for our child's reading and writing development while homeschooling.
I’ve already noticed an improvement in my son’s reading and writing skills after a couple weeks of class. Also we enjoy the teacher’s wonderful singing with the autoharp.
Great great teacher and our son really loves the music and has learned so much over the past year! Thanks!
Ms. Rachael is an amazing teacher! The class is beautifully organized and structured so that each student gets the chance to participate. I have noticed a real difference in my child’s confidence.
My kid loves the class. He always shares with me interesting facts that he learns in the class. He learns spelling and vocabulary but what I like the most is that I can notice him gaining more confidence in his writing week by week.

'Phonics - CVC Words for Beginners' is designed to help your young learner build phonemic awareness, which is the foundation of phonetic reading and writing. Every child learns at a different pace, so this class and all Montessori Read & Write classes is age-flexible and inclusive for atypical and/or gifted learners.
Each session begins with a sound-song for all the ABCs, with one sound for each letter, while watching an engaging slide show. This is then followed by a chance to “sound out” 8 CVC words while labels for photos are built with the Montessori movable alphabet. After that, students write the words on a very large dotted-font list, on a printable PDF. The session finishes with a quick game of cooperative BINGO. During the game, learners say the sounds of the letters in each word while the game is screen-shared.
This fun and interactive class is a great way to help your child master phonemic awareness, leading to successful phonetic reading and writing. With plenty of individual attention and interaction, it is both engaging and educational. Sign up today and start your child on their way to phonics success!

This Montessori-inspired phonics class helps learners build a list of phonetic words by using the color-coded Montessori movable alphabet. We read the words we've written, use each one in a sentence, and match each one with a picture. We also practice writing each word in lowercase print, and a PDF list of words is provided in dotted font for handwriting practice.
We begin each class with a lively song for the entire alphabet, accompanied by a slideshow of photos and live autoharp accompaniment. This class is similar to a real Montessori classroom experience, bringing together a small group of young learners with a shared enthusiasm for vocabulary, letter sounds, reading, and writing! To conclude each class, we'll have a fun game of cooperative reading BINGO!
Essential Skills for Phonics Fun is the perfect class for young learners who need guided practice with decoding and encoding phonetic words. With plenty of individual attention and interaction, it is both engaging and educational.

'Phonics & Intro to Digraphs' is designed to help learners blend and segment 1-syllable and 2-syllable phonetic words. Each week, we focus on one new digraph, such as 'oa' in 'road.' It is important that participants already know how to form each lowercase print letter, using a dotted-font guide as needed.
During each session of this class, we use the color-coded Montessori movable alphabet to build phonetic words; 4 with a digraph, and 4 that are purely phonetic. We then read the words, use them in a sentence, and match them with a picture. We also write each word on lined paper. Each learner receives a PDF list of words in dotted font for handwriting practice and spelling memorization. To conclude, we play a fun game of cooperative reading/spelling BINGO!
Ms. Rachael's teaching style is warm and encouraging, and the class is interactive and highly visual. We kick off each session with an initial-sound song slide show for the entire alphabet with live autoharp accompaniment!

'Mastering Digraphs for Emerging Writers' is designed to help early readers explore and understand letter pairs (also known as digraphs or phonograms) that create a new sound when blended together. During each class session, learners explore 16 photos and their corresponding labels, practice writing words with dotted-font lowercase print word lists, and end with a fun game of reading/spelling BINGO! Through this educational and engaging online class, young learners gain a better understanding of phonetic sounds and spelling words with letter pairs.
Ms. Rachael's teaching style is warm and encouraging, and the class is interactive and highly visual. We begin each session with an initial-sound song slide show with live autoharp accompaniment! This song highlights digraphs such as 'ai' for 'airport.' This class is similar to a real Montessori classroom, with a small group of young learners who are excited to learn new vocabulary, improve their writing and reading, and memorize the spelling of key digraphs!

'Word Study for Emerging Writers' is an engaging online class that provides a unique and enriching Montessori-inspired learning experience. This class is an excellent introduction to plurals, synonyms, antonyms, homophones and compound words.
Each session includes four parts: a song with live autoharp accompaniment and a slideshow of pictures and common digraphs, vocabulary enrichment, reading and writing activities, and a BINGO game. With the vocabulary enrichment, learners will label and discuss sixteen photos. For example, when studying homophones, we read words that sound alike but are spelled differently and have different meanings, such as "ate" and "eight." Writing activities involve tracing dotted-font handwriting guides and copying the words. The cooperative BINGO game encourages learners to challenge themselves to spell words like "aquamarine" and "vermilion".
